Working Equitation is the fastest-growing equestrian sport in the United States. It takes classical dressage β straightness, lightness, collection β and puts it to work on a course of real-world obstacles. Every lesson builds toward all three phases.
The foundation. Transitions, lateral work, and a horse that's genuinely on the aids. This is where most of your first months live.
Gate, bridge, garrocha, bell, jug, slalom, livestock pen β ridden with precision at walk, trot or canter as you progress.
The same course against the clock. Only when the first two phases are honest β speed exposes every shortcut.
Weekly lessons at Hansen Dam where you ride your horse with Adam β or add training rides so the horse learns faster than you can teach it alone. Every horse starts with an evaluation ride so we agree on where it is and where it's going.
Spots per group are limited. Text first if you're unsure.
Every rider here sits on an 11-level curriculum, so you always know exactly where you are and what comes next. Working Equitation sits on top of it, taught the classical way β the Iberian-rooted dressage the sport was built on.
No. The Working Equitation Club puts you on a fully trained club horse every week. If you own a horse, lessons and training are built around riding it.
Exactly where you are. The first sessions are on the flat so we can see your horse and your position; obstacles are introduced in hand and at walk before anything faster.
Once a week is the minimum for real progress; twice a week is where riders and horses change fastest. Memberships are built around weekly lessons.
